{"id":76,"date":"2008-07-13T20:57:17","date_gmt":"2008-07-14T04:57:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/?p=76"},"modified":"2010-07-16T15:28:23","modified_gmt":"2010-07-16T23:28:23","slug":"hockey-in-san-jose","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/?p=76","title":{"rendered":"Hockey in San Jose"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Okay here is a little non-MTB content for the blog.\u00a0 My oldest son\u00a0 (Will) and I are spending the better part of this week up in\u00a0San Jose while Will&#8217;s hockey team, The San Diego Fear, compete in the North American\u00a0Roller Hockey\u00a0 Championships (<a title=\"narch\" href=\"http:\/\/www.narch.com\">NARCH<\/a>).\u00a0 The facility at the Silver Creek Sports complex is pretty impressive and is well suited to host the championships that includes over 400 teams in numerous age brackets from all over the Canada,\u00a0 the US and Central America.\u00a0 Will&#8217;s team is playing in the 12 and under Gold bracket against 22 other teams who made the cut through the regional qualifiers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/3ce4f3d076252dbd00017899f2ad2ce8.jpg?resize=650%2C433\" border=\"3\" alt=\"NARCH facility\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" imagescaler=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/3ce4f3d076252dbd00017899f2ad2ce8.jpg?resize=650%2C433\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The boys played their first game today and won against the Golden Ridge team from British Columbia so they are off to a good start.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/b29a2ab0b4b93d7fb5b5135337370ce8.jpg?resize=650%2C433\" border=\"3\" alt=\"Game Play\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" imagescaler=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/b29a2ab0b4b93d7fb5b5135337370ce8.jpg?resize=650%2C433\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After the game we did some tourist stuff and went down to Monterey for some sightseeing that included the Monterey Aquarium.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/c8bff59a1ad15e64f8a375d846c82874.jpg?resize=650%2C433\" border=\"3\" alt=\"Fish Kisser\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" imagescaler=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/c8bff59a1ad15e64f8a375d846c82874.jpg?resize=650%2C433\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There is a bit of the MTB tie-in here.\u00a0 Our plan is to take a couple &#8211;
