FEB 28th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Put this on your calender folks.\u00a0 If you not being riding\/following <a href=\"http:\/\/mountainbikebill.com\/CalveraLake.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Calvera<\/a> lately, there is lots of activity going on, both good and not-so-good,\u00a0 with this area.\u00a0 The CA Dept of Fish and Game has not exactly be a &#8220;welcoming with open arms&#8221; kind of group towards mountain bikers so our community showing up in good numbers will go a long way towards establishing a good relationship with them here.\u00a0\u00a0Come on out,\u00a0do a little trailwork and then do a little riding.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0below information is from Erik Trogden, the\u00a0North County Coastal Liaison with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sdmba.com\" target=\"_blank\">San Diego Mountain Biking Association<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>February 28th at Calavera<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThis is an important opportunity for mountain bikers, hikers, and others to come together for the common cause of taking care of our precious open spaces.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s demonstrate that we are responsible stewards of Calavera by pitching in to make it a better place for everyone who enjoys it.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSDMBA is collaborating with the CA Dept. of Fish and Game to do habitat restoration and erosion control on a heavily used trail falling southwest away from the quarry; sometimes referred to as The Spine or Mordor.\u00a0 The 200 yard long stretch of trail has widened significantly over time and needs some work to repair damage from rain and overuse.<br \/>\n9:00 to Noon.\u00a0 Staging area TBD.\u00a0 Same format as La Costa with food, schwag and lot&#8217;
