{"id":894,"date":"2011-07-08T08:56:06","date_gmt":"2011-07-08T16:56:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/?p=894"},"modified":"2011-07-09T09:13:15","modified_gmt":"2011-07-09T17:13:15","slug":"server-issues-resolved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/?p=894","title":{"rendered":"Server Issues Resolved"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some of you may have noticed this past week that my site was down for about 12 hours.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-895 alignnone\" style=\"border: black 3px solid;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/6d70289d04c469f39a6ed9c3ec22bcde.jpg?resize=500%2C331\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" imagescaler=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/6d70289d04c469f39a6ed9c3ec22bcde.jpg?resize=500%2C331\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My Internet Service Provider\u00a0suspended the\u00a0account\u00a0because my site was overloading their server.\u00a0 \u00a0Appears I had a configuration issue with an automated backups program that caused some expontential growth of the number of files on the server. Normally there is around 40,000 files\u00a0associated with\u00a0MountainBikeBill.com on the server.\u00a0\u00a0 The error reached critical mass over the holiday weekend and the number of files grew to around 185,000.\u00a0\u00a0 Evidently those kinds of numbers are frowned upon.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Techno babble, blah blah blah, yada yada yada&#8230;&#8230;
