{"id":712,"date":"2010-09-18T21:46:32","date_gmt":"2010-09-19T05:46:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/?p=712"},"modified":"2010-09-20T22:14:02","modified_gmt":"2010-09-21T06:14:02","slug":"washington-riding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/?p=712","title":{"rendered":"Washington Riding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Man do I have a lot of catching up to do.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 My six weeks in Washington went by really fast and I was really busy with work.\u00a0\u00a0 I did get in quite a bit of riding but much of my other work trips in the past, it is often tough to find time to work, ride and blog about.\u00a0\u00a0 I&#8217;m sure you can guess which one I set to the side.\u00a0\u00a0 I am going to get the story and pictures of\u00a0 \u00a0the cool rides I get in up on my site once my schedule drops back down to &#8220;normal&#8221; but here are a few pictures of these to come.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"border: black 3px solid;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/92c88de2fc6ed60d88e79bac0e9d35a5.jpg?resize=645%2C911\" alt=\"\" width=\"645\" height=\"911\" imagescaler=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/92c88de2fc6ed60d88e79bac0e9d35a5.jpg?resize=645%2C911\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The furtherest trail away from my basecamp on the west side of Puget Sound was the Devil&#8217;s Gulch trail in the northern central area of the state.\u00a0 It is often touted as one of the best XC trails in the state.\u00a0 While I would have to ride all the singletracks in the state to be for sure, this is one really awesome trail.\u00a0\u00a0 I did about 14+ miles of mellow forest road climbing to get to the top of this trail and was rewarded with 12 miles of singletrack awesomeness.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"border: black 3px solid;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/041a7d3e5920a9a0c295c16d1ff487da.jpg?resize=840%2C560\" alt=\"\" width=\"840\" height=\"560\" imagescaler=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/041a7d3e5920a9a0c295c16d1ff487da.jpg?resize=840%2C560\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Since I was in thea area I strung Devils Gulch and the Red Devil Trail together.\u00a0\u00a0 The Red Devil trail has a devil of some climbs to it and it fully polished off my leg after the Devils Gulch loop.\u00a0\u00a0 The grand total for the day was 36 miles,\u00a0 4,500 feet of climbing and enough joygasm smiles to make my face hurt.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"border: black 3px solid;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/140561455203f943d3b64f3481aeffcb.jpg?resize=840%2C560\" alt=\"\" width=\"840\" height=\"560\" imagescaler=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mountainbikebill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/imagescaler\/140561455203f943d3b64f3481aeffcb.jpg?resize=840%2C560\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I made a total of two trips out to the &#8220;410 Area&#8221;
