<\/a><\/p>\nAfter this the rest of the box packing when smooth.\u00a0 Now there was absolutely no way to keep this bike and box under 50 pounds and avoid the overweight charge.\u00a0\u00a0 So I put a bunch of other stuff in there as well to get my money’s worth.<\/p>\n
The flight went as planned and I was surprised to see awesome weather in Seattle.\u00a0 Sunny and in the upper 60s, low 70s.\u00a0 Freaking killer.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 From the airport I went right to the job site, and did all my start day stuff: Check-in with folks, chase down equipment\u00a0that was shipped here,\u00a0smooze and talk up with the folks I will be working with the for the next three weeks, yada yada yada….\u00a0\u00a0 Several times when I was walking between buildings I\u00a0was thinking this is too\u00a0awesome of a day in Seattle to be working.\u00a0\u00a0Surprising enough, before I\u00a0knew it all of the stuff I needed to do and pretty much everything I could get done that day, was done.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
I get back to my hotel and looking\u00a0out the window I could not help but think, man the sun is mighty high in the sky for this time of day.\u00a0 Then it dawned on me,\u00a0 the\u00a0further north you are in summer the longer the days are.\u00a0\u00a0 Cool, I might just have enough time to squeak in a ride.\u00a0\u00a0 So off I\u00a0went to whip the bike back together.\u00a0 Before\u00a0long, the big was built back up and I was rolling away from the hotel towards a\u00a0perspective trail I had got\u00a0some e411\u00a0on a few months back.<\/p>\n Well what do you know, there was a trail after all and I was surprised that it was not at all bad.\u00a0\u00a0While on the short side, it was still dirt.\u00a0 Dirt that I had not planned on being on today.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0After riding this trail, I decided to\u00a0poke around the various neighborhood streets.\u00a0<\/p>\n I was once again surprised when\u00a0I managed to find a few\u00a0neighborhood trails that meandered\u00a0through the woods between the\u00a0various streets and neighborhoods.\u00a0\u00a0It was nothing you would\u00a0want to drive but it was\u00a0an incredible spring day full of sunshine, blooming flowers, green woods\u00a0and\u00a0I was on singletrack.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0What a killer surprise.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n
