<\/a><\/p>\nMy\u00a0Los Penasquitos Canyon<\/a> page has been\u00a0absurdly out of date ever since the development started.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I have decided to finally update\u00a0the page so\u00a0I have been\u00a0riding out here as of late to refresh my GPS data and try to figure out the best legal<\/strong> way to ride out in this area that is not completely mudane and boring.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It is fairly tough as the mountain bikers have very little in the way of legal quality trails.\u00a0 It seems the only things that are not endangered out here are no biking signs.\u00a0\u00a0 (Just for the record that trail in the picture above is not single track, it is more like a baby stroller trail, ATV trail, etc\u2026)\u00a0\u00a0 You can get in some good riding with a quality outdoor experience but you are going to have illegally share with the hikers and the equestrians and blow by closed signs.<\/p>\n The Camino Ruiz trail is the nearly lone exception to legal boredom of highway wide fire roads in the canyon offered to mountain bikers.\u00a0 This\u00a0 is a nice chunk of single\u00a0track.<\/p>\n Ok, ranting aside, the\u00a0 warm weather streak we have been having in February has\u00a0both plants and critters getting confused.\u00a0\u00a0 Flower are blooming and the everything is nice and green.<\/p>\n Chasing the sun greenery<\/p>\n It is pretty early for the snakes to be coming out already.\u00a0\u00a0 This is a rather healthy looking whip snake.<\/p>\n It was in evening time so he was mighty sluggish and very easy to handle.\u00a0\u00a0 He seemed more than happy to leech some heat off of me before getting anxious to head off.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
